Parkes house

Head of House: Mr Billyeald
Pastoral Manager: Dee Smith

Welcome to Parkes house. We hope you get a flavour of our house from this page.

Well done to Megan Lee for producing the winning design for The Big Sleuth competition. Students were tasked with creating a design for our bear which will be displayed around the City Centre in the Summer. Similar to last years, The Big Hoot, The Big Sleuth aims to bring the city alive with art.

Shortly before the Christmas break we held our House council elections and the following Parkes House superstars have been voted in to positions of responsibility:

  • Molly Mason and Vienna Blair
  • Wahaj Ahmed and Syed Mehdi
  • Alice Van and Lauren Parkins
  • Kelly Norman and Samama Rafi
  • Mubarak Mohamud

Along with selecting dementia UK our students also showed their charitable nature when bringing in items for the Birmingham City Mission as part of the Harvest Festival collection. We had more items than ever before and even had to get more tables into the theatre on which we could display all the food that had been contributed. Many thanks to those of you that took the time to support this worthy cause, the generosity of the Parkes House community was a pleasure to behold.
