Easter break
Pupils finish for the Easter break on Friday 22nd March at 12.30pm. School reopens on Monday 8th April.
Attendance matters
Improving school attendance is everyone’s business and, to tackle the challenge, we need to work together. From 8 January, Government is launching a national campaign to remind parents and carers of the importance of school attendance.
More than half (54%) of pupils who were persistently absent in Year 10 and then rarely absent in Year 11, passed at least 5 GCSEs, compared to 36% of pupils who were persistently absent in both years. Attendance is vital.
Refer to our Attendance Policy.
Easter revision sessions
Over the forthcoming Easter break our staff will be on hand to provide your children with extra revision sessions to prepare them for their GSCE exams. These will be taking place every day over the Easter break except the bank holidays.
Over the next couple of days you will receive a letter outlining which sessions your child has been invited to attend – this information will also go onto class charts. This is a fantastic opportunity for your child to get ‘exam ready’ and we know from experience that these extra sessions really help students to secure the best grades possible. Your support with getting your child to these sessions is appreciated. Have a great Easter break!
Attendance award
Proud to have been awarded the National School Attendance Award from the Fisher Family Trust. FFT collects daily attendance data from over 10,000 schools. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of pupils, parents, carers, and staff in achieving this award.
