Being part of the Academy council is a privilege. To represent all the students in making sure our views are heard and changes made, where appropriate. I’m looking forward to the responsibility.

Being part of the Academy Council allows you to meet the teachers who run the Academy, and discuss how we can improve the Academy.

It helps you as an individual to gain confidence and participate in discussions to benefit our Academy.

The Academy council is like having another family! We work together to help the Academy become better.

I am really looking forward to being part of the process when appointing teachers and making the Academy an even more environmentally friendly place than it is.

Great responsibility. I can’t wait to get going!

I joined the 6th Form from another school. I feel so excited about being part of the Academy Council and working with the school leaders to help improve the Academy further so that we become an outstanding Academy.

We are launching Reverse Advent today. The Academy student council will be taking an active role in promoting this special event as well as visiting forms in order to collect the food items. It is important to remember that there are many families out there that find this time of year a real struggle. It would be nice to help! As we are in the Academy for 15 days in December, there will be 15 boxes currently located in the House Co-ordinator’s Office. Our aim is to fill each box in the lead up to the Christmas holidays and give whatever we have collected to a local food bank.
