Summer Sports Day
Come along to our Summer Sports Day with Bring It On Brum, on Mon 21 July 2025 at Sheldon Country Park. This is free fun for all of the local families in the area, and is to share about the great holiday activities happening across Birmingham with the Bring It On Brum Holiday Activities and Food programme!

Menopause Awareness Workshops
Come along to two workshops on menopause with Menopause Knowledge!
Our first session, on Thursday 17 July, is open to all women and anyone assigned female at birth who will go through, are going through, or have gone through the menopause.
The second session is for any partners or older children (generally those 12+) so they can understand what’s happening.

Wild Bunch: Family Forest School
Weekly forest school adventures for home-ed families with children aged 4-12, by ecobirmingham

Wild Bunch is ecobirmingham's popular forest school programme. As part of our work with The Springfield Project, ecobirmingham are running weekly 2-hour forest school sessions at the Project's allotment site by the River Cole. These sessions are aimed at home-educating families with children aged 4-12, where grown-ups and children join together for some unforgettable nature connecting memories. Sessions will be filled with fun nature crafts using tools safely, active games and explorations learning about the nature around us, as well as healthy and warm vegetarian snacks cooked together on the campfire! Activities are child-led, with the support of Mike, our popular and experienced DBS-checked forest school practitioner.
All ticket types are pay what you can and grown-ups go free!
Please note that a place on our Wild Bunch programme would usually costs £15 per child per day, but we want carers to feel comfortable paying what they feel they can afford. Please be mindful that tickets will need to be reserved one at a time, and Eventbrite will ask for a donation each time. Parents/carers will be responsible for their children at all time. Street League Support Sessions
Are you aged 16 - 30? Not in education or employment?
Join Street League for free activities, new skills and qualifications, a chance to meet new people, gain confidence and get support with employment!
This programme is starting 28 July.
This will be a 10 week course Monday - Thursday 10am - 2pm for any NEET 16-30 year olds.
They will gain a level one employability qualification alongside lots of great new skills. There will be work experience days, activity days, sports sessions.

Fit Kids Zone was created in 2017, and works with different community groups to express themselves through self-development in performing arts. Fit Kids Zone promotes helping and bringing our community together through fitness and positivity.
Fit Kids Zone is offering children from Reception to Year 6 the opportunity to learn different fun activities through multi-sports, from 9am - 3pm, for those in Hodge Hill and Solihull. Select the location you would like to book to access the registration form!
From 1pm, children will be dismissed unless they wish to stay for the extra activities on the afternoon – this will incur a £5 charge per child per day.
To access this club children must receive benefit-related free school meals (FSM). If your child receives pupil premium then they will be eligible to attend HAF holiday clubs for free. |

They have a range of activities available and are also doing some HAF events, thanks to Bring it on Brum. This means all children aged 5-16 on the SEN register can access events for free, including a free meal.
Siblings are welcome, and there are a range of activities available over summer, including affordable activities for those not on FSM!
There's a great Sports Day happening on Friday, 25 July, from 11.45am – 1:30pm At Shenley Lane Community Association & Sports Centre, 472 Shenley Lane, B29 4HZ
Join us for some fun games at our SEND Socials Sports Day! Children will have the opportunity to use our sports equipment such as archery, cricket, hurdles, hula hoops, balls and some traditional sports day equipment such as egg and spoons and sacks.
The session will be led by the children and there is no desire to put any pressure on anybody to do any races or anything (unless they want to!). All participants will receive a sports day certificate and a medal. |

Nurturing ADHD Kids Courses
Birmingham Resilience Education and Wellbeing Services CIC are running more Nurturing ADHD Kids Courses for parents/carers of children with ADHD.
These courses are free for families in Birmingham and run throughout the year.
Children don't need to have already received a diagnosis - we work with families who are on the assessment pathway too. This is run by an adult with experience of ADHD. The courses are online, 90 minutes a week for six weeks, and families can join for a daytime session or an evening one.

Inclusive Sports Academy run lots of great sessions for SEND children and their parents and carers. They run programmes for young people and children, and holiday activities too!
They are hosting an Inclusive Sports Summer Camp, starting on the 28 July! We are offering 9 days of Summer Camp, with 5 days of higher needs provision under our Inclusive Essentials programme which you can register for here. Please note that all children who are eligible for free school meals may attend our services completely free of charge.

World Breastfeeding Week
The Breastfeeding Network are super excited to be part of the World Breastfeeding Week Picnic at Cannon Hill Park on Friday 8 August.
This is running from 11am - 2pm, meeting near the Midlands Art Centre, B12 9QH
They'll be there alongside colleagues from New Baby Network and the Infant Feeding Team based at Birmingham Women's Hospital.

Holiday Performing Arts Camp
